July 15th, 2005 Happy Vache Day - Egyptian bomber
nabbed
Happy Moo day to y'all. British authorities are still not pointing their
finger directly, but are now openly saying that there is a preponderance of
evidence that will link the suspects with Al-Qaeda. Bravo Scotland Yard for
delicately handling this matter and not pointing fingers and tarnishing the
whole Muslim community by association of religious belief. The Brits have
not indulged in double talk like their yankee counterparts by holding press
conferences and openly saying, "we have credible, reliable information from
unconfirmed sources ........" How could it be credible or reliable if its
unconfirmed.
July 14th, 2005 Bastille Day
Folks order your French fries and dole out French kisses for its
Bastille day.
Don't
use the Heinz ketchup though. We need to show our support for the French in
dollars not in francs as we pad McDonalds bottom line. Drink Beaujolais but
from Napa Valley. Have you noticed that restaurants have such a complex,
that they constantly honor the French by naming the soup of the day as soup
de jour. Does it make the soup delicious even if its the darn same old bean
soup. Now don't forget tomorrow is Cow appreciation day. Cow appreciation
day (jour d'appréciation de vache) does it mean
don't eat cows or eat more steak? Or is Cow appreciation day, a conspiracy
to convert everyone to Hinduism. Gosh we have the Muslims on one side and
now the Hindus too, trying to creep in via Moo celebration. We all know the
church blows smoke with the advent of every Pope. When is the jour du poulet
.... Back to jour d'appréciation de vache
or Hinduism, should we all dress naked and paint our bodies in white and
black round spots and sing harry kiss na and harry ram yaa. Why not ...
after all outsourcing has left our workers unemployed and profits are lining
the pockets of Indian companies and American top executives. It would not be
too long that on Wall street the bull will be replaced by Gao Mata (What the Indians call the cow when they worship it) to bring blessings to
the market and economy. Soon there shall be offerings left at the hoofs of
the cow and incense being burnt as some sareed woman does her pooja
(worship) amidst wall street chatter. Toast the French as our economy is
being flambeed by the Indian, Chinese and outsourcing.
With the British having successfully
identified the suicide bombers, one wonders what are the psychological
problems of the suicide bombers? Why are they killing indiscriminately? They
defeat their cause whatever that maybe, they are anti religion, anti
humanity. In a word they can be defined as animals.
July 13th 2005 Plame scandal flames out Rove
Worldcom exececutive to do time for his crime. 25 years to be
exact. will Rove do time too? Why is the Prez silent about the leak by the
king maker? ... probably since Rove was the kingmaker. We are sorry to say
Democrats are not embracing the opportunity.
Would Valerie Plame be the undoing of Karl Rove the brain in the
Elephant? Its time Judith Miller be released. Why is Hillary Clinton pussy
footing on the Carl Rove issue? Is that all she could say, " I am nodding"
when asked about her views, after Kerry came out swinging. Clinton needs to
be more aggressive if she has any dreams of running for the Presidency. Is
this the new John Kerry we are witnessing, as he frames himself for the next
elections?
Unfortunately the bombers were
British born but of Pakistani decent. Does that make these bombers as
British or Pakistani. We would say British since they were born and raised
in Britain. There are rumors floating around on
the internet that Israel was involved in the London blast.
Its a very hard to verify the veracity of these claims so we leave it to our
readers to form their own opinion. Does anyone know what are
the grievances the terrorist have? ..., for they are targeting all alike (
Muslims and non Muslims alike ). George Bush's rhetoric that they hate our
freedom is too simplistic an answer. Could these terrorists be the result of
injustices doled out by the leaders that are propped up around the world?
July 12th, 2005 A readers comments about our blog
"Streetwhispers -- I read your blog about the
manner in which the British politicians handled themselves, after the
horrific bombings in London and generally, I agree, but I thought Tony had
learned too much from George Bush when he spouted the "terrorists hate our
freedom"--and this has nothing to do with our participation in Iraq. Of
course, lacking a crystal ball, I cannot say that is we withdrew our troops
from the Middle East AND our unilateral support of Israel that the
terrorists acts would cease but I would think there would be a whole lot
less for that Muslim minority to hate. Maybe wrong. Just that our
participation in supporting Sharon is like the 500 pound gorilla in the room
but, alas, most of the country doesn't know it, excuses it because they have
always fought (which is not true), or because they do not care.
Enough. Will go back to imagining Karl Rove in orange. ( dh )
"
As the events unfold in
Britain and Scotland Yard makes headway in its investigation, it is becoming
clear, that the blasts in London seem to have been the work of some demented
Muslim radical group. We hope that Scotland Yard is able to find out how the
explosives were attained? Certainly the explosives could not have been
brought into Britain by air or sea. While the search for the perpetrators of
the attack goes on ... equal emphasis should be put on how were these
explosives acquired? Is it so easy to attain plastic explosives in Britain?
Someone sent us this site, we produce a link to it
THE LONDON ATTACKS
With
a new scandal brewing in Washington about Karl Rove's involvement, and
Judith Miller sits in prison .... will Rove resign? be fired? or will
this incident be Democratic Party's cause celebre? Yet again there is always
the chance, the well oiled Elephant will slip the Donkey's grasp. Did Rove
commit a national security crime thus is he a felon?
July 8th, 2005 British show calmness and leadership
The London bombing was like the 9/11 we had in the USA. Its embarrassing
to say that unlike our politicians, Tony Blair and the rest of the British
authorities showed statesman like behavior. They did not loose their marbles
and go about pointing fingers and indicting anyone who was not white. Even
though Blair blamed the attack on Islamic terrorists, the British chief of
Police was very clear in stating, that they had no proof that the attach was
carried out by Islamic terrorist. In the final investigation we may find out
that this attack was the work of Al Qaeda but the British made every effort
to make sure and put the message out that the act of a few zealots did not
paint the innocent with the crime too. As a consequence we see calm in
London, a city where more than 300 languages are spoken. Even though the
diversity of people is the same in New York, but our leaders i.e.
Rudolph Juliani and including our President were too quick to point fingers
without confirmation. Fortunately they were correct that 9/11 was the work
of Al-Qaeda but unfortunately a lot of innocent law abiding citizens were
indicted of the crime through their rhetoric. You would recall Juliani's
press statement even after the attack, "Terrorist
looking Arabs were seen", we have to yet to know what a terrorist
looks like and if Mr. Juliani does have that privileged information its time
he speak out and give details as to what a terrorist looks like. Juliani was
basically indicting anyone who bore Arab features or olive skin color.
As the British sift through the debris of the attack for clues we hope the
perpetrators are apprehended and brought to justice regardless of religion,
class color and creed. We share the pain of the Londoners but historically
the British have showed resilience which is demonstrated once again the way
they are going about their lives without the histrionics of the politicians
and the media. Which does not mean that they are not fervently seeking to
find the culprits.
July 7th, 2005 London Bombings
Our hearts and prayers go out to the British in general and Londoners in
particular as they grapple with the reality of the dastardly bombings yet
again by Al-Qaeda.
July 6th, 2005 Judith Miller sent to Jail
Today is a sad day for freedom and reporters. We salute Judith Miller
for the boldness in holding up the principal of confidentiality of source.
I hope she does not waiver, or break. If journalists can be sent to prison
for reporting something, we are at the threshold of where democracy shall
gradually end and free speech muffled. The Person who should be going to
jail is Robert Novak for revealing the name of the covert CIA agent and
undermining a CIA operation.
New York is saved the debt of hosting the 2012 Olympics.
Historically nations and cities that host such games stay in debt years
after the games are over and gone. Ghosts of the newly built structures
linger, till they turn into ghettos. Now we hope that the new stadium in New
York falls by the road side too. New York as is, an overcrowded city. We
don't need a stadium here. The city needs more jobs and less taxes.
Beth Holloway Twitty
while we sympathize with the uncertainty of the
fate of her beloved daughter but in essence Beth Holloway is nothing but an
arrogant Twitt.
How
dare she pass judgment and call people guilty who have not been tried by due
process. Unless Beth Twitty has a crystal ball or is an accomplished psychic
to say without doubt that that the Kalpoe brothers are guilty, in the
absence of evidence she sounds arrogant and offensive. She has no qualms
about turning the lives of other people ( Kalpoe family ) simply because she
believes that she is right without any evidence. Satish and Deepak are
innocent till proven guilty. Beth is an impediment in the search
for Natalee. In all fairness lets not forget that
Natalee
was out of line to have wandered off alone, in a land she is not familiar
with. Take New York for example, even the local residents dare not wander in
areas they are not familiar off. Beth needs to wait for the due process and
shut her yap up ... stop insulting the people of Aruba. Beth needs to
respect the Dutch law of Aruba. Arubans are justified in taking umbrage to
her statements of.
"Two suspects
were released yesterday who were involved in a violent crime against my
daughter,'' she said.
''These
criminals are not only being allowed to walk around among the tourists and
citizens of Aruba,'' she said, but there were no limits on where they
could go" Beth let the due course of law run. SW feels the Aruban Government
is moving as fast as they can. Beth there is an African adage, if ones hand
is in the lions mouth, one does not hit the lion on the head.
Gang Rape in Pakistan
Yet another woman is raped in Pakistan and the rapist wear it as a badge of
honor and the Pakistan Government is dragging its feet in doling out
justice. The only deterrent to such crimes would be prompt and fair justice
and not further humiliation for the raped victim. "President
Pervez Musharraf, who is trying to project Pakistan as a moderate and
progressive Muslim nation, last week condemned the violent humiliation of
women and said his government was committed to ensuring victims got
justice." The words of President
Musharraf and the judiciary have such a hollow ring to them. We suggest
quick and fair justice. We are still waiting to hear about the Mukhtaran Mai's
case.
July 02, 2005 Why is no one talking about this news
item -
Why is no one talking about the following news item about us
(USA) conducting a precision nuclear strikes program. The Democrats are as
complicit in this as the republicans. How can we ask other nations to drop
their nuclear programs when we are proceeding with impunity to develop
deadlier weapons. Having a precision nuclear bomb .. does it make it any
more safer then any other nuclear bomb? .... go figure. We paste a news item
picked from an international press report.
US Senate
votes to revive US nuclear weapon program
WASHINGTON, July 2 (AFP) - The US Senate has moved to revive a controversial
weapons research program aimed at enabling the US military to conduct
precision nuclear strikes against hardened underground facilities, including
those suspected of storing weapons of mass destruction. By a vote of 53-43,
senators defeated Friday an amendment sponsored by California Democrat
Dianne Feinstein that would have prohibited use of government funds to study
the feasibility of the so-called Robust Nuclear Earth Penetrator, also known
as the "bunker-buster" bomb. (Posted @ 17:33 PST)
July 01, 2005 Defense Accord with India
Bravo Bush coterie you created yet another blunder in destabilizing
the Indo Pakistan region, by signing a defense treaty with India. What do
you think Pakistan's reaction should or will be. Did it not occur to you
that it would spark an arms race between the two countries. Yet we want
Pakistan to stand with us in our fight against terrorism but betray their
trust by arming their arch enemy. Guess commons sense is eluding the Bush
junta.

YOUR FEEDBACK

Mukhtaran Mai
raped in Pakistan needs justice - NOW

Speak out

Who wipes his tears?

Who hears her terror?
Trying
to eliminate Saddam, extending the ground war into an occupation of Iraq...
would have incurred incalculable human and political costs.
Had we gone the invasion
route, the United states could conceivably still be an occupying power in a
bitterly hostile land
