You have read thousands of books of knowledge

But have you ever read your soul?

You visit temples, mosques and churches

But have you visited the depths of your heart?

You go around fighting against Satan

But have you ever tried fighting against yourself?

STATEMENT ON THE MURDER OF RACHEL CORRIE

December 31st, 2006 Last day of 2006
4:32 PM -
Strange thing to write but if you do not know how to count, then better learn before the ball drops. You only need to learn till ten and backwards too.

10:00 am - Aussies celebrated 2007. Graphic video of execution of Saddam Hussein. By clicking the link above you are consenting to see the graphic execution of Saddam Hussein, late President of Iraq, who remained defiant till the last.
6.45 am -
Muslims Celebrate Eid
Today the Muslim community celebrates Eid around the world. Eid al Adha is celebrated at the culmination of Haj, the annual pilgrimage Muslims from around the world make to Mecca. After Eid prayers Muslims sacrifice a lamb which commemorates the prophet Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his own son Ishmael at the request of God (Allah). They are following in the footsteps of Abraham, one of the early monotheist prophets amongst the three religions ( Christianity, Judaism and Islam ). Hope they all pray for world peace and calm.

December 30th, 2006 President Saddam Hussein hanged for his crimes .....
1:33 pm -
Who will be the next butcher of Iraq? Probably there is one and he is not a native born Iraqi too (George W Bush ). Gerald Ford is being buried with a lot of pomp and fanfare. Seems we treat our dead presidents with lots of respect.
12:01 am -
Two Presidents to be buried almost the same day, two leaders with two fates, two legacies. Rubiyat of Omar Khayam comes to mind. Translation by Edward Fitzgerald

Think, in this batter'd Caravanserai
Whose Doorways are alternate Night and Day,
How Sultan after Sultan with his Pomp
Abode his Hour or two, and went his way

Only fools will hope that the reality of turbulence in Iraq will change by the execution of President Saddam Hussein ( 1937 - 2006). Iraq as a country will stay in turmoil for generations to come. Iraq will be another Lebanon. We should finish the job in Iraq, any premature troop pull out would be disastrous. Hope Afghanistan is not forgotten in the din of Iraq.

December 29th, 2006 Prez Ford and Hussein .....
Ford dies of old age, and Hussein of Iraq may loose his life, from a kangroo court where judges were appointed and did not go through any screening process by the Iraqi people. Doubt Saddams fate would had been any different, but there would be a sense of fair trial. One wonders what is the hurry to end Saddams life. Killing him is not going to bring peace and calm amongst the feuding factions. Saddam should be allowed to write his memoirs, and present his point of view in a book. Or is Prez Bush afraid for what Saddam may reveal if he was permitted to do so. The crimes of gassing Kurds were impossible to commit if Reagan/USA had not provided him the know how. Saddam Hussein with wife - Inset picture of Saddam during trialNo doubt Saddam was a dictator but certainly our creation. Sending troops to war on a lie and letting them die is a crime too, which should be a capital punishment. We all are aware of the stir Ramsey Clark ( retired attorney general of USA under Lyndon B Johnson )created when he agreed to defend Saddam Hussein. Ramsey Clark's comments go on to support that Saddam Hussein trial was not fair. Ramsey Clark said, " That Hussein and other former Iraqi officials must have lawyers of their choice to assist them in defending against the criminal charges brought against them ought to be self-evident among a people committed to truth, justice and the rule of law. Both international law and the Constitution of the United States guarantee the right to effective legal representation to any person accused of a crime." Did Saddam get a fair trial? Was the decision of the Judges tainted or influenced by President Bush, who openly called for the death penalty for Saddam Hussein.

I would hate to bet on the life of anyone. But in this particular instance, Saddam will not live to see the ushering of 2007. Bush is so crazed to right/write his legacy now that he will not stop at anything. His ruthlessness will become more evident as his Presidency comes to end.
Should the American people try Bush as a war criminal too? Ramsey Clark makes a very cogent argument, " Finally, any court that considers criminal charges against Saddam Hussein must have the power and the mandate to consider charges against leaders and military personnel of the U.S., Britain and the other nations that participated in the aggression against Iraq, if equal justice under law is to have meaning. No power, or person, can be above the law. For there to be peace, the days of victor's justice must end

The defense of such a case is a challenge of great importance to truth, the rule of law and peace. A lawyer qualified for the task and able to undertake it, if chosen, should accept such service as his highest duty."

I wish the late President Ford had the courage to express his critical views on President Bush and the war in Iraq while he was alive and not express them on an "embargoed tape" (to Bob Woodward with the promise) to be released after his death. That was truly an act of political and intellectual cowardice. Our politically elected leaders and members of the opposition should have the courage and conviction to break away from the pack of political demagogue's.

I recall you were promised some salacious stuff yesterday from the now defunct website.

December 28th, 2006 President Ford and his legacy .....
Its snowing here in Wisconsin as I read about, President Ford dead at 93 leaving behind a group of people, like Rumy and Dick whose evilness envelops the world. Should one feel sorry and honor him, simply because he was once the President and that too the unelected president. May he rest in peace. Well what else could he do, he is dead, cant jump or make speeches anymore. So its appropriate that he rest is in peace by default. Someone remarked on hearing about his death that X Presidents get a hell lot of coverage in the press and  a funeral fit for a king. Will Ford's death take our minds off the deaths of US Soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, not to mention the Iraqi's and Afghani's killed as collateral damage or by smart bombs. I must say that for some unknown reason, I never followed the 38th Presidency.

Bet you all have heard about the Jessica Cutler blog and the hoohha going on in Washington. Though Jessica's blog was taken off, you can read it if you log on tomorrow. You can surely go to Amazon and buy her new book that reveals all. The Washingtonienne blog will be reproduced here for our viewers, though the blog was removed, but we found it still floating on the Internet. Does anything die in cyber space?

December 25th, 2006 Finally Santa is gone ........... Who weeps?
Did anyone hear sobs from the following States? 3294 Service men/women dead...
Prez Bush your deafness is amazing

Finally the forced and contrived affability of  Christmas  huha is over,  and we all have collected some more useless junk, with thanks and smiles. One eats as if the planets is going to spin out of control. Indulging in all sorts of gastronomical indulgences, with the hope and resolve for a new year to bring about change to our waist lines. I have seen those resolves made one too many times. That is why gym enrollments increase in the month of January and February. That is all what they are ...enrollments, one hopes ones alter ego will go and do the work of sweating it out and be disciplined. The overrated season of holidays of giving? Yes giving said with a smirk. Don't worry I have been called a scrooge and I don't mind being called that again.  Despite all the complaining, moaning and groaning, I wish everyone peace, calm and health today and always. On a lighter note, its great fun to eat ice cream in the cold weather of Wisconsin Appleton. I did collect some valuable gifts ... wink. Hey the dog seems to be feeling like a Pussy Cat magnet, alooooooof .... wuff wuff. You know what I am talking about if you read December 23rd blog. He gives me appreciative askance glances :) wagging his tail so hard, I am afraid it might fall off.

December 23rd, 2006 Cat nip and dog ...........
For the holidays there are two cats running around the house and a golden retriever dog. The dog has the best disposition in the world. The cats have formed a bond with each other, and are ignoring the dog. The poor dog seems lonesome and is seeking human attention. Cats can be aloof and mean as has been noted from all times. Pussy was an Egyptian goddess. Could there be a possibility these felines are aware of their entitlement? Well enter the human into the picture (me). I am seriously pondering if it would be great idea to rub cat nip on each side of the dog, so that the cats are drawn to the canine and rub against him to get a High, and consequently the dog feeling like a pussy magnet. Maybe along the way these three animals will become buddy's. Cat nip on dog has not be tried and all readers are forewarned, since I am not even aware of the consequences and reactions that may occur. Finally the snow arrived for the holidays last night. Comments about politics are on hold, however the Republicans here are pretty pissed with the President and are determined not to vote Republican this year.

December 22nd, 2006 Still in Wiscon Sin ................
Yes I am still in Wisconsin, going crazy climbing walls. The weather is dreary, and consuming chocolate if I was trying to please the queen of Sugar.  Hey if the spelling of Wisconsin kind of seems weird, because that is how someone spelt it for me, and I liked the creative spellings very much. Here it seems is one goes to Church first and then ask forgiveness till next Sunday. I have bought my own shaving creams and stuff. Feeling pretty good about it too, and like the smoothness of my cheeks. Not much to write about from here, other than the fact the Viking Packers game was disaster. I will commend the spirit of the Packer fans though.

December 21st, 2006  Appleton ... Wisconsin ... feeling very safe................
I woke up feeling very secure, that my toothpaste, shaving, cream, aftershave, cologne, deodorant all gone, because TSA took them. Some bastard is wearing them for sure. I say someone is wearing them for sure, because there was no trash bin where I could throw the stuff, they were carefully lining the stuff on a shelf under the counter and at the end of the shift most likely the spoils will be 'divied' up, probably according to the ranks of the TSA agents.

For me I had breakfast with my hosts, scruffy looking,  and at the end of breakfast found myself asking.... if I could use their Shampoo, toothpaste ............... Very pathetic. Well for the sake of national security I shall suffer this humiliation and my hosts will sacrifice by sharing their personal toiletries with their guests, till I can run down the mall to buy a batch and then once again leave it at the airport. Any security professional reading this blog will concur that our security standards and methods a our airports are, to create more inconvenience then to provide safety.

December 20th, 2006 Airport Security .........
Newark Airport – 5:20 pm…. Very frustrated and angry at the stupidity of our security system and imbecilic policies implemented at our Airports. You must be wondering why am I so upset. Well for starters they took away my shaving cream, then my sealed bottle of water, then the moisturizer, because it did not meet the regulation size. When I offered to drink the bottle of water, they told me that I had go out of the secured area, drink the bottle of water and then come back and go through the same security check. TSA held on to the bottle of water as if it contained midas elixir. Yes I am talking about the TSA aka Transportation Security Administration. Who the fuck manages these bastards. Pardon my language.  I had to buy a bottle of water half the size of the one that was confiscated for twice the price. Who should be blamed? ... our screw up Prez or Homeland Security or Airport Administration. The semblance of officiousness  is nothing but a ruse to give a false sense of security. I will be boarding soon, as Wolf Blitzer is muttering something in the background on the Concourse TV about the blizzard and its time to board the flight. Probably post this from the next airport as I wait for my connecting flight.

The flight took off about forty minutes late, jam packed. Nothing to gripe about its an old story how there is no leg room and they serve  you less then thirty peanuts in a bag. What gets my hide is the total stupidity at the airports. No body checked my laptop, the battery pack and other electronic paraphernalia that I carry with me, because I have to have them, otherwise life would be so boring. I do not expect you believe the argument that I have to have them, because I cannot convince myself that I have to have them yet I have them.

Let’s talk about security and what are dangerous items to be taken on board. Not my shaving cream duh or the after shave balm they are harmless liquids. Any security expert will tell you that. Oh by the way a pencil is a weapon as is a ball pen. The ten cent ball pen by bic or another company. Apart from writing poison letters it has been used in history to stab/ But heaven forbid you have a nail file or a nail cutter or a beard trimming scissors in your carry on baggage. At least I do not use cut throat razor to shave and I am grateful for that habit of mine. Frankly I would use a cut throat razor to shave  if I could. I tried using it when I first started sprouting beard. Thought it was cool. Guess a result of watching too many western movies. I was thinking, in order to speed up my security check in at airports and save myself from carry shaving, cream et, if I decide to grow a full untrimmed beard. Very manly <wink> hmmmm guess that will even slow me down further. While they will not be concerned about my bags they will be concerned about  my looks. Is that called profiling. Yup that is the word. The guy has a beard must belong to some organization. He is too individualistic, does not conform with the pack aka humans. So folks rest assured our President is really working hard to keep us very secure by all the stupid measures that are being implemented by his cabinet.Stay posted for more

December 18th, 2006 When do the lies end ---- George Bush
Today President Bush OK'd to sell nuclear technology to India. "The bill will help keep America safe by paving the way for India to join the global effort to stop the spread of nuclear weapons," Bush said. When do the lies and deception end. Has President Bush forgotten that Indian Companies are found to have sold nuclear technology and parts to the Iranian Government, which is pursuing nuclear technology despite world objections. Do we have a policy? The Bush bill on sale of technology will do nothing more than re-ignite the arms nuclear arms race between India and Pakistan. Also the Arab States of the Gulf have expressed their desire and right to pursue nuclear technology. History will mark these days as one of the darkest in the annals of American history. A time when an ex alcoholic and incompetent, bumbling nincompoop was the President of the USA. Are we or the world safer after President decided to combat terrorism. His policies have basically provided fuel to the terrorists. Bush and his cronies have delivered Iraq to the terrorist from where they can conduct their nefarious activities. Where do we go from here? Is this a plague or tyranny that will have to be borne for another two years. Democrats need to start impeachment proceedings. Seems Democrats have lost their balls for now.

December 17th, 2006 Bill Gates and Microsoft are dishonest thieves ........
We all  have Microsoft in our lives and indirectly Mr. Softee (Bill Gates). The word Softee is being used in relations to his sexuality as portrayed by many comedians and not so happy investors and users of Microsoft Products. The mere act of making obsolete programs and software at whim, throwing out operating systems and Application software with huge holes, big enough  that a galaxy of hackers can waltz through speaks volumes. Why the tirade on Microsoft? Just discovered that MS has ended MS FrontPage and come out with a new product line, there by forcing all users of FrontPage to go out and spend hundreds of dollars again. Bill Gates is not the philanthropist, it is the users who are the generous yet stupid donors, its their money that his company steals. Neither is he a modern day Robin Hood but a devious, evil yet smooth robber baron. Unfortunately he has become so strong that even governments fail to control his company. Some may argue free market capitalism some will cry protectionism if one were to put the brakes on MS. Unfortunately competitors have fallen behind, because MS controls the operating system on which most of the applications run. MS devious practices of changing elements in its OS (Operating System) to wipe out competition is a well documented fact.  Hope Google will be the company that nips at MS heels. While MS has the pricing power, yet what the company demands for its product are unrealistic if you correlate them to the income of users. Some will argue that MS is giving away free computers and software to schools. On the surface that sounds like a noble action, but if you look under the hood, what MS is doing, what Apple, Gillette or CocaCola did to get brand loyalty. Young men who are just sprouting beards usually get a free razor blade from Gillette. Apple used to give out free computers to schools. After second world war CocaCola became the social beverage of choice, because soldiers returning home from war had been exposed to free CocaCola, or at almost prices that were as if  free. So was tea introduced in India. Free kiosks were set up giving away free tea and when enough demand had been created, a market emerged. I shall park my pen otherwise this painful rant will run into pages, covering laissez faire and regulations. That is a whole new can of worms. Lastly most users do not need immediate upgrade to their systems or computers, in relation to what the computer is used for.

December 15th, 2006 Hanukah ( dedication )
Happy Hanukah to our readers. We shall try to be very statesman/stateswoman like, and try to mention a special gadget that lasts for 8 days of delirious pleasure on one battery. Stop smiling. We are not saying anything more. Hanukah, Christmas, Kwanza or any other holidays have become so commercialized that it makes one puke. Are you tired of being politically correct. Political correctness is almost taking over our lives. Genders get easily offended because the speaker used his or her gender. My response is get a life. If you are a woman make God into a female and put tits on George Bush as in the word President. If you are a man, make Mona Lisa into a man.

December 13th, 2006 Kissinger and Albright
Wonder what type of spin Albright and Kissinger will put at their joint appearance at the MTR and would they be taking any question from an audience of less then a 100 people. Kissinger the master obfuscator and Albright the arrogant woman who believes that US can go to war because we can. " If we use force, it is because we are America...." In one of her earlier interviews before the Iraq was, she thought the death of a few hundred thousand innocent Iraqi kids as a consequence of US embargo was not too high a price to pay. The meeting might be boring for all reasons. At times the moderators fall short and end up in major derriere kissing. Will keep you posted ...
December 8th, 2006
New Arms race in Asia ... thank the Congress
Yet again Congress makes the world a more dangerous place by OK'ing the US - India Nuclear deal. Will Pakistan and Iran for that matter sit and watch. Those of us who recall, after India's first Nuclear test, Pakistan complained and objected to India's pursuit of nuclear technology. In reply to Pakistan's protest we sold arms and technology to India and placed and embargo on Pakistan. The outcome was Pakistan's determination to pursue nuclear technology for its protection and check India for its expansionistic dreams.  Then the nuclear tests of 1990's in the Sub Continent. First from India and then from Pakistan. A tit for tat. While we complain about Iran's pursuit of nuclear technology we reward India with the deal. Has the Congress lost its mind? If the price of trade with India is to sell nuclear technology to India then the US should walk away and find other markets in Asia of which there are many. This is not a way forward towards creating a peaceful region.

December 7th, 2006 Bush should stop whining ............
11:15 am Press Conference - Prez Bush should stop whining and lecturing, taking support of platitudes and values of society. Its time to engage in diplomacy. Bush and Blair have created a mess worst then two pigs in a pen. While talking about responsibilities, we failed in our responsibility to the world community in general and American citizens in particular. Almost three thousands families a member of their family missing in Xmas. Al Qaeda today is stronger, we helped Al Qaeda get a foot hold in Iraq. Bush policies are as bumbling as his speech, which surely is a reflection on the way his mind processes information.

December 6th, 2006 No transfat yet there will be fat people ....
Hope New Yorkers will be slim fit and sexy, after the State has stuck their nose into what food is cooked in restaurants and sold in stores. The Bill is positive, yet falls short in changing fat people attitude, who are are intrinsically lazy, unless they have a condition where they cannot control obesity. Wish the passage of this Bill will change how people think and their frame of mind when it comes to eating. Who is going to motivate fatso's to exercise and take better care or their body. Change of mind and habits is an inner body and mind battle which each individual has to conquer. Thin people are thin because of the choices they make in their lifestyle. Agreed restaurants need to be regulated and hydrogenated oils are bad, but do consumers think about portion control?  Read August 23rd blog.

Is Condi Rice hiding in the hope .....
Does Condi Rice think that by keeping a very low profile her bad advice will go unnoticed. Would she like to rehash her statement about "the birth pains of democracy in the middle east". While everyone is saying that Iraq has been a failed adventure, and finally some politicians are mustering the courage to call Iraq in civil war. The Bush era will be regarded as one of the darkest periods in US foreign policy failure, and a major destabilization factor in the middle east. The fat Arab cows do not realize that the devil  is now knocking at their door step. Devil being the Taliban, a ragtag army created by US when fighting the Russians in Afghanistan. Had we completed our work in Afghanistan after the Russians left we would not be in Afghanistan today. This time again if we do make the stupid mistake of leaving Iraq and Afghanistan in chaos, that decision shall come back to haunt us another day. War and jingoism have seldom created an environment of dé·tente. Neither have embargo's solved any problems. Its the policy of dialogue and trade that shall create a world of peace and tolerance. Condi Rice should follow in the steps of Rusmfield. Her derriere needs to be booted out. Her bad advice has created enough death and destruction for Iraqi's and our boys at home. Democrats need to borrow some balls to start the impeachment of Bush. Merely winning a slim majority in the house amounts to very little.
